Dr. Jennifer Zimni-Gitler
Jennifer Zimni was born on 29.09.1991 in Recklinghausen. She moved to the neighboring city of Bochum to study. Jennifer Zimni completed her Master’s degree in Prehistory and Early History and Economic and Raw Materials Archaeology at the Ruhr University Bochum in 2017 and also studied History at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow in 2016/2017.
She has been working as a research assistant at DEI Jerusalem since May 2018. Jennifer Zimni wrote her dissertation as part of the excavations on Mount Zion.
She has also worked on a number of archaeological projects in Germany:2012: Collaboration on the DAI project “Neolithic earthworks in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern “2013: Collaboration on the excavations in the town center of Recklinghausen2015: Collaboration on the excavations at Holsterburg Castle near Warburg (NRW)
